What NEST verifies—and what it does not.
Does my STL leave the browser?
No. NEST processes STL geometry in your browser and has no upload or analytics endpoint.
What is a Verified fixture?
A bundled model and layout that passed recorded geometric checks for the named printer profile revision. It is still not a slicer or print-safety guarantee.
What happens with my own upload?
Arbitrary uploads currently receive a rectangular feasibility estimate based on the oriented bounding footprint. NEST does not yet claim general true-shape nesting for them.
Is the largest count optimal?
No. NEST reports the best verified result found or a feasibility estimate. It does not claim mathematical global optimality.
What is a profile revision?
It names the exact bed size and modeled keep-out assumptions used for a result. The current stock-safe candidate is x1c-stock-safe@2026-09-17.
Can I print the result directly?
No. Check every layout in your slicer and confirm supports, adhesion, brims, material, toolpaths, clearances, and machine limits.
